Episode Summary

Wet Fck began hashing around the turn of the century with Nairobi Hash House Harriers, Africa’s oldest active kennel. Introduced by his then-girlfriend, he immediately preferred Nairobi’s crowded streets, trails and legendary down-downs to running on a treadmill. He became Nairobi’s trail master before taking his hashing life abroad, joining Boston-area hashes while at Harvard and eventually settling in Oxford, Mississippi.

His travels have taken him to hashes and major events throughout Africa and beyond, including almost every Pan Africa Hash. He shares the ingredients of a successful international event, the story of a tour group being detained after villagers mistook hash markings and songs for voodoo, and the origins of the Africa Whiskey Hash House Harriers. Wet Fck also explains why he believes it is time for Africa to host World Interhash and makes the case for Kenya’s trails, wildlife, mountains, beaches and hospitality. Win or lose, he promises that hashers will gather in Kenya in 2028.
