6.06 Woody Wouldn’t Pecker
Episode Summary
Woody Wouldn’t Pecker discovered hashing while stationed at Osan Air Base in South Korea in 1998. Advertised in chalk outside the base post office, Osan Bulgogi H3 brought military ranks together under hash names and introduced him to live trails, the Tiger Club hash bar and subgroups such as the Booze Hounds and Juice Jedis. He also recounts the perfectly timed misunderstanding in the woods that rescued him from several less desirable names and made him Woody Wouldn’t Pecker.
Transferred to Omaha in 1999, Woody found Nebraska’s only active kennel through an answering-machine message and was immediately welcomed into its community. He discusses his years as an Omaha RA, his marriage to fellow hasher Jailbait and the creation of MINK—the annual gathering of Missouri, Iowa, Nebraska and Kansas kennels. Woody and Jailbait are now its only remaining “ultimate survivors,” having attended every event. He also describes his hash tattoos and the private Hash House Harriers Tattoo Facebook group, before reflecting on respectful namings, organized chaos and why fresh ideas and new members are vital to keeping kennels alive.

6.05 Pusher
Episode Summary
Pusher joined the newly established Hyderabad Hash in 1994 after his aunt innocently described it as a running club—without mentioning the drinking. He was welcomed by Digit and discovered that several people he already knew were involved. Over more than three decades, he has watched Hyderabad hashing develop from an expat-heavy kennel into a community shaped increasingly by local hashers.
His first major organizing assignment involved beer logistics for the 2002 Interhash, beginning a long record of work behind the scenes. Pusher later helped sustain Monsoon Madness, organized hashing trips to Bhutan and joined the team that delivered Goa 2022 with only months to prepare. He offers an unusually candid look at event planning: building the right committee, handling transportation and legal requirements, answering endless questions and balancing hash traditions with changing local expectations. He also previews Pan Asia Hash 2027 in Hyderabad, including pre- and post-lubes in Sri Lanka and southern India, and explains why it is time to introduce the hashing world to the City of Pearls.

6.04 Hopeless
Episode Summary
Hopeless attended his first hash in San José, Costa Rica, in 1978 or 1979, beginning a remarkable hashing journey shaped by an international working career. In Madrid during the 1980s, he became “binman,” hash cash and keeper of the kennel’s statistics, newsletters and traditions. He recalls pink flour trails through the snow, elaborate trophies, enormous post-run restaurant gatherings and the practical challenge of supplying beer for 60 or 70 hashers.
A transfer to Guatemala put him on mismanagement almost immediately, first as RA and later GM. Moving again to Buenos Aires, he helped create a new kennel after an initial appeal for members received no replies. Its first run attracted approximately 25 people, and the group soon grew to around 100. Hopeless also helped establish Valencia H3 after retiring. From Madrid and Guatemala to Buenos Aires and Valencia, he shares stories of early hash communications, memorable trails, international events and the friendships that have survived decades of travel.

6.03 Burnt Sox
Episode Summary
Burnt Sox stumbled across hashing on Saipan in 1994 after spotting dozens of runners disappearing down a dusty island road. He soon found himself tackling coral cliffs and jungle trails, followed by bonfires and communal down-downs. Six months was enough to make him a lifelong hasher. Returning to Washington, D.C., he joined the area’s thriving 1990s hash scene and became closely involved with Mount Vernon H3 as scribe, joint master, RA and hare.
He recalls early D.C. Red Dress Runs, including moving hundreds of red-clad hashers across the Potomac in small boats, and explains how a pair of wet socks left too long in an oven produced his enduring hash name. Later assignments took him to Mexico City, where he became GM; Paraguay, where he helped found an Asunción kennel; and Cameroon, Cyprus, Cuba and Rio de Janeiro. Burnt Sox also reflects on Hash-L, starting a kennel from nothing, raising a family in the hash and why face-to-face community remains essential to hashing’s future.

6.02 Wet Fcuk
Episode Summary
Wet Fck began hashing around the turn of the century with Nairobi Hash House Harriers, Africa’s oldest active kennel. Introduced by his then-girlfriend, he immediately preferred Nairobi’s crowded streets, trails and legendary down-downs to running on a treadmill. He became Nairobi’s trail master before taking his hashing life abroad, joining Boston-area hashes while at Harvard and eventually settling in Oxford, Mississippi.
His travels have taken him to hashes and major events throughout Africa and beyond, including almost every Pan Africa Hash. He shares the ingredients of a successful international event, the story of a tour group being detained after villagers mistook hash markings and songs for voodoo, and the origins of the Africa Whiskey Hash House Harriers. Wet Fck also explains why he believes it is time for Africa to host World Interhash and makes the case for Kenya’s trails, wildlife, mountains, beaches and hospitality. Win or lose, he promises that hashers will gather in Kenya in 2028.

6.01 EyeFull
Episode Summary
EyeFull discovered hashing in Cyprus in 1990 after two men she met at a bar insisted on collecting her for a Sunday run—despite the formidable hangover she was nursing. The strange names, unpredictable trails and welcoming community quickly won her over. Soon she was hashing in Stockholm and finding kennels while travelling through Australia and New Zealand, often made easy to recognize by her trademark Viking helmet.
Back home, EyeFull helped establish a Wednesday-evening Stockholm kennel for people who could not attend weekend hashes. She recalls its modest beginnings, sometimes with little more than a hare and one runner, and how it gradually became an enduring part of the city’s hashing community. She also discusses Stockholm’s travelling hashers, winter trails, changing traditions and several encounters with suspicious authorities. With ten Interhashes, more than 100 kennels and hashing in 32 countries behind her, EyeFull reflects on 36 years of friendships and adventures around the world.
