    EyeFull discovered hashing in Cyprus in 1990 after two men she met at a bar insisted on collecting her for a Sunday run—despite the formidable hangover she was nursing. The strange names, unpredictable trails and welcoming community quickly won her over. Soon she was hashing in Stockholm and finding kennels while travelling through Australia and New Zealand, often made easy to recognize by her trademark Viking helmet.

    Back home, EyeFull helped establish a Wednesday-evening Stockholm kennel for people who could not attend weekend hashes. She recalls its modest beginnings, sometimes with little more than a hare and one runner, and how it gradually became an enduring part of the city’s hashing community. She also discusses Stockholm’s travelling hashers, winter trails, changing traditions and several encounters with suspicious authorities. With ten Interhashes, more than 100 kennels and hashing in 32 countries behind her, EyeFull reflects on 36 years of friendships and adventures around the world.

    Laid Bird learned about hashing after Stockholm hashers handed out beer near the finish of a midnight 10K. She joined on October 17, 2007, ran to the start without realizing a hash car held dry clothes, and needed two cold, wet outings to master the logistics. The welcoming thirty-person pack felt like a family she had been missing.

    Hashing soon led her from casual racing to an improvised, barely trained Stockholm Marathon, then into Eurohash, UK Nash Hash, and extensive travel. She has served as RA, hash cash, and GM, guiding a club that shifted from almost all runners to a roughly even mix of runners and walkers.     Thunder Thighs began with London Hash on Hampstead Heath on September 6, 1978, when the club was only two years old and hash names were uncommon. As overseas visitors arrived with names, she chose her own—an obvious joke about her strong legs—and became part of London’s transition from a male-oriented expatriate tradition to a more inclusive modern community.

    Recorded at UK Nash Hash 2025, she recalls early travel, founding a short-lived Harriettes kennel, favorite smaller events, injuries in Kraków and England, memorabilia, and decades of friendships. She dislikes mega-events, needlessly vulgar songs, and ceremonies that overshadow true hare-and-hounds trail, preferring camaraderie and socialization. Her account also tracks how newsletters, Facebook, and WhatsApp changed recruitment and how COVID unexpectedly produced new London kennels.

    Tight Lips ran her first trail while deployed to Baghdad in January 2005, accepting a colleague’s invitation because there was little else to do on a free afternoon. Back in the United States she joined Harrisburg-Hershey Hash, where several failed naming attempts ended with an apt reference to her Army intelligence career: Tight Lips.

    Her subsequent service and travel produced hashes across countries, continents, and major events, while retirement opened an even busier itinerary. She discusses live trails, GM duties in North Carolina, charity red-dress runs, crash space, event sizes, injuries, family-friendly kennels, and the practical generosity of traveling hashers. Only late in the conversation does her professional rank emerge: she retired as a three-star lieutenant general and former head of the U.S. Army Reserve, making the hash’s rank-free fellowship especially meaningful.

    Map for Pod began with the Hillbilly Hash in Northern Virginia on St. Patrick’s Day 2013, invited by an old college friend known on trail as Phil Nye the Science Bi. A cold, looping woodland trail, green decorations, songs, and roughly two dozen strangers gave the extroverted travel nurse exactly the outdoor community she needed while moving between assignments.

    Her organizational ability soon drew her into mismanagement and major-event work, including the planning, finances, communications, and ethical responsibilities surrounding InterAmericas. She reflects candidly on the canceled Colombia event and the later murder of its GM, arguing for transparency, shared control, and structures that do not depend on one person. Cruise hashes, drag bingo, worldwide travel, and generous hosts provide a joyful counterpoint to this serious examination of event stewardship.

    Recycled Virgin stumbled into hashing in Puerto Galera, Philippines, in 2015 after a Lonely Planet entry promised a Saturday run.     Bronco Buster’s first hash was on July 4, 1986, in Mexico City, where the trail memorably passed through a newly opened McDonald’s.     MegaSaurAss first sampled hashing as a teenager with Surrey and Aberdeen, but her true baptism came at the 1994 Rotorua Interhash. Arriving in New Zealand, she was placed in a Scottish mini-kilt and sent aboard the legendary hash train. Repeatedly missing her seat during the conga left a conspicuous bruise, noticed later at the Guernsey Boy Cocktail Party, where she received the name MegaSaurAss.

    She subsequently joined Sydney Harriettes, completed 50 runs in her first year and quickly became On-Sec and RA. After returning to Scotland, she developed into an experienced international RA, hare and event organizer. Much of the conversation explores Bras and Pants, the brewery-running institution founded by Oral Sex. As joint GM, MegaSaurAss has helped bring its clothing-over-clothing tradition to EuroHashes, UK Nash Hashes and international events. She recalls lost car keys, lethal moonshine, missing corkscrews and other logistical disasters, while discussing charity fundraising, event size, inclusive trails and a hashing life built around constant travel.
